Of course, we have a solution for all this - so no harm comes to you as a customer! Basically it is called:

If there is a border closure, travel warning of the highest level, or an unreasonable quarantine order of at least 5 days, either in the vacation country or in the home country, for the booked travel country from 7 days before departure, the charterer can postpone the charter to a newly agreed period free of charge. Additional or reduced prices will be taken into account.

In special cases and after release of the base a refund is also possible. However, this must be checked individually.

IMPORTANT:

However, if there is a possibility of free testing or if a vaccination could avoid the entry, the exit, or a quarantine regulation, the charterer is obliged to take appropriate measures (vaccination, test). We also offer video tests through our partner, which you can do comfortably in front of your computer.

The only damage you will suffer is that you will have to start your great vacation at a different time - should you want to postpone. But feel free to consult us at any time and we will be happy to explain to you personally what your options are! 

Permit costs = A kind of vignette, which is collected by the government. Costs for e.g.: Lighthouses, port fortifications, infrastructure, etc.

Deposit = Security deposit for possible damages. Our boats are all fully insured. The deductible is equal to the deposit amount.

Tourist tax = tax to the government. This is a tax of e.g. 10 Kuna / night and person. Corresponds to approx. 1.38 EUR at an exchange rate of 7.2 Kn)

Skipper = A skipper is hired if you do not have the necessary licenses to drive a boat on your own. He needs his own cabin and is catered for during the charter period (food & drinks)

Hostess = A kind of maid, or chambermaid. Cooks for you, takes care of food, drinks and cleaning during your vacation.

Mooring costs = These are incurred when you stay overnight in marinas, in harbors, or at buoys. In exceptional cases, you may even have to pay at anchor. Generally, these are municipal facilities, or privately owned, concession areas. The berthing costs are usually (depending on the size of the ship e.g. 45 feet and berth) between 0 - 150 EUR / night. At the home place of the ship the berthing costs are usually paid all year round and do not have to be paid again when chartering.

Basically, you need to clarify for yourself what kind of vacation you want to experience. However, we would always recommend:

Bow thruster, (makes "maneuvering" easier).
Furling sail, (makes sailing easier)
Bathing platform (fantastic entrance into the sea)
enough space for the crew (relaxation)
Furthermore you can choose between:

Depending on your preference, you have to choose a country. Here is often the arrival mode and season decisive. The Mediterranean is attractive between March and November - the Caribbean or the Maldives are more for winter vacationers.

The more southern, the warmer. In Croatia the temperatures vary during the summer sometimes up to 5°C. Just ask us for a route example! In a personal conversation we can find out what is important to you and give you tips for your charter trip.

Personally we think Croatia is one of the most diverse yacht charter destinations. Many small bays, islands and crystal clear water in a small area, so you can see and experience a lot within 1-2 weeks. Moreover, the journey is quite easy. Whether by car or by plane - you will find a good infrastructure everywhere. 

Explore all regions

Basically you need a boat license (e.g.: SFB See) + radio license (e.g.: SRC). The Croatian boat license usually includes both licenses, but is only valid in Croatia.

You need the radio license because every charter yacht must have a radio and every yacht with a radio may only sail with a radio license. However, when you make a booking, we will request your licenses anyway and check them in advance to protect you from complications.

Depending on the season, sufficient cleaning and maintenance crews are kept on hand. Accordingly, the yacht work will start from about 10 am. According to experience and in order, the yachts leave between 12 - 18 o'clock.

There is also the possibility to book an "early check in" for an extra charge. Should this not be possible due to maintenance work, you will be refunded the corresponding extra charge.

Basically there is a wide range of sailing yachts, catamarans and motor yachts available in our yacht search. The best way to get an overview of many yachts is by country and date. We are often asked which insurances are useful for the charter trip. Now, unfortunately, this question can not be answered in a general way, because in case of damage, everything would have been useful, if you had only concluded it.

Basically one differentiates between the following insurances in the yacht charter:

Skipper - accident insurance
Skipper - legal protection insurance
Charter deposit insurance
charter consequential loss insurance
Charter cancellation insurance
We always recommend at least 3 insurances to our clients. Namely the skipper - liability, the charter - deposit insurance and the travel resignation insurance. This covers 99% of the cases. You are welcome to take out the insurance directly, or we will send you the form. Afterwards we will forward the application to the insurance company for you. 

The skipper liability and the charter deposit insurance are valid for 365 days. I.e. you should conclude these as late as possible, in order to be able to profit if necessary in the following year again from it. Only with the deposit amount you have to make sure that the right sum is insured. If you have insured as 1.500,- EUR and in the following year you have a bigger boat with 2.500,- EUR deposit. Then you can reinsure the difference and do not have to take out a new insurance. 

The contract is always concluded directly between you as the charter guest and the insurance company. Otherwise, insurance would not be possible. But we will gladly accompany you there and give you tips so that you can enjoy your charter vacation safely and full of joy.

In the case of luxury charter, an additional fee called APA is always added to the charter price, which roughly covers all costs incurred for catering, mooring fees, personnel, etc.. Usually the fee is about 20-30% of the charter price. If you need more during your vacation you will be charged. If it becomes less, you will of course get the share back. This fee usually applies only to larger yachts with large crews.

We offer luxury yachts, luxury catamarans and luxury sailing yachts in many places worldwide. Of course we also bring the yacht to your dream destination for an extra charge, if the booking calendar allows it.

Basically very simple! 

You, or we together find the ideal boat for you. Afterwards and if you instruct us, you will receive a booking confirmation with all information about check-in / check-out, yacht price and additional fees. Essentially all information from the charter - offer will be summarized again. 

The payment modalities differ from base to base, or also in the period of the booking. Basically, however, a deposit of 20-50% is due at the time of booking. The rest is due about 6 weeks before the start of the vacation. 

In times of pandemic, as we had to learn now with Corona, the different payment modalities vary a lot, but to the benefit of the customer. So you are always covered and no customer has ever suffered a loss with us. 

Feel free to contact us personally. We will find a way together, whether private purchase, or charter purchase. With a charter purchase you have the great advantage that the expenses are covered and you actually own your personal ship. After some time in charter you can make your dream of a cheap, but top maintained ship possible. In addition, you do not pay any fees for your charter vacation, which makes the topic of yachtinvest very interesting in total! 

If you would like to charter several times a year, or would like to arrange special conditions for a club, please inquire personally. For this special case we will be happy to accommodate you. 

Basically, the cancellation fees vary from base to base. However, you will also receive the exact details with the booking confirmation. Depending on the time we manage to charter the yacht further. Then there will be no costs for you and you will get your payments back in form of a credit note. If we do not succeed or if you do not have a replacement, the provisions as stated apply. 

However, the charter cancellation insurance covers many emergencies, which would make it easier to cancel. Please inquire with us - we have an appropriate insurance from Yacht-Pool. 

We are asked this question very often. And NO - a special sailing license is not necessary in most countries. A SBF See (with radio license) authorizes you to steer a boat. Whether it is a sailboat, or a motor yacht, or a catamaran - is irrelevant. 

The only limitation is the length or the weight of the boat. But please ask us personally about this. We also have every license checked at the base, so you do not run the risk of going on vacation and not being issued a yacht. 

Upon return, the vessel is inspected by the base manager. Thus, the level of the fuel tank is also read. As a rule, additional fees are then incurred, which you must pay at the base, or they will be deducted from your deposit. 

But ATTENTION: Not only the fuel price will be charged, but also the fee for refueling. As you know, this can take 1-2 hours if there is a long queue at the gas station. In addition, the boat must also be brought to the refueling station. 

If refueling is really not possible due to wind & weather, please contact your base manager. One will surely find a solution. 

The advantages of booking with an agency are obvious!

We offer you several bases and yachts and give independent advice - i.e. we will accompany you in the choice of ship and show you the advantages and disadvantages.

We cooperate only with selected bases. I.e. if service and quality do not convince permanently, then we do not mediate these ships.

Especially for German speaking customers the communication with a German speaking agency is easier and no information is lost between the lines. In addition, the bases often speak poor English, which means that important content falls by the wayside.

We accompany you before, during and after the booking. Even if you have problems at the base, or with the ship you can always contact us and we will support you. In this way we have already solved many misunderstandings in the sense of our customers. Because we want to win you as a customer and above all keep you.

Should you book abroad, any negotiations are also abroad. Should you book with an agency in German speaking countries, this makes communication much easier. Only in 2020 there was a legal ruling that clearly recommends booking with agencies in German-speaking countries.

Since we as an agency book many ships per year and of course constantly optimize our conditions, you will get a better charter price than if you book directly on site. Basically there is almost always a triumvirate, consisting of the yacht owner (investor), the base for the service and the yacht charter agency, which acts as a "travel agency".
