This website is partially compliant with the requirements of BITV 2.0 in conjunction with EU Directive 2016/2102 and the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.
Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible for the following reasons:
a. Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
- Keyboard navigation & focus highlighting: Not all interactive elements or navigation areas can be fully operated using the keyboard, or have a clearly visible focus highlight.
- ALT texts: Some images lack alternative texts or have texts that are not meaningful.
- HTML & semantics: Structural HTML elements such as landmarks are partially missing.
- Heading structure: The correct use of headings (H1 – H2 – H3) is partly incorrect in some places.
- Color contrasts: Some elements, due to the corporate design, have insufficient contrast with the background.
- Compatibility with screen readers: Because of partly missing or incorrect aria-labels and missing “Skip-to-Content” links, usage with screen readers is not optimal.
- Forms & error messages: Forms and error messages are currently not correctly recognized by screen readers (aria-describedby).
b. Disproportionate burden
- PDF documents: Older PDF documents created before the current legal requirements came into effect are not accessible.
We strive to make future documents accessible. For existing content, we are happy to provide accessible alternatives upon request.
c. Content not within the scope of applicable legal regulations
- Archived content: Certain multimedia content and PDF documents published before June 28, 2025, are considered archived and are not fully accessible.
- External content and embedded third-party services: Content from third parties is not accessible, e.g., map functions. Embedded interactive maps currently cannot be offered in an accessible form. Alternatively, we provide a written description or information by phone.
